“The Sukhu government’s hooliganism to protect Rahul Gandhi’s goons is the height of anarchy.”
Shimla: BJP leader and MLA Randhir Sharma said that the manner in which the Himachal Pradesh Police prevented the police team from Delhi from taking lawful action and treated them rudely is extremely unfortunate and condemnable. The Bharatiya Janata Party strongly condemns this incident.
Randhir Sharma said that the recent International AI Summit held in Delhi under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi elevated India’s reputation on the world stage. However, the naked protest by Youth Congress workers on the same platform, under the direction of Rahul Gandhi, was an anti-national act that tarnished the country’s image. In this regard, the Delhi Police registered a legal case and initiated proceedings to arrest the accused.
He said that while the Delhi Police were taking back the alleged rioters from Rohru after arresting them, the Himachal Police’s interference and misbehavior was contrary to the spirit of the federal structure. Under the Constitution, the police of one state have a duty to cooperate with the police of another state, not to create a situation of conflict.
Randhir Sharma said that if the Himachal government does not take immediate action against the guilty police officers, it will become clear that this entire incident occurred at the behest of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. Following the principle of “a straw in the beard of a thief,” if the government becomes so active in protecting the accused, it is natural to question its motives.
He alleged that spreading anarchy in the state to protect Rahul Gandhi’s goons is a blatant violation of democratic values and constitutional norms. The BJP demanded that strict action be taken against the guilty officials and the dignity of the federal structure be protected.
