Export Promotion Mission to Open Global Opportunities for MSMEs and Youth: Kashyap
Shimla: BJP MP Suresh Kumar Kashyap said that the Export Promotion Mission (EPM) launched by the central government is a historic and visionary initiative aimed at strengthening India’s export ecosystem.
He noted that the mission gives special priority to MSMEs, first-time exporters, and labor-intensive sectors, thereby creating significant opportunities for local industries and youth to access global markets.
Under the EPM, seven additional interventions have been introduced, moving the mission closer to full-scale implementation. The mission is being executed through two integrated sub-schemes — “Export Promotion” and “Export Direction” — which provide both financial and non-financial assistance to exporters.
Kashyap said the mission offers comprehensive support in areas such as trade finance, export compliance, logistics, overseas warehousing, and global market access. This will enhance the competitiveness of Indian products and give fresh momentum to the Make in India initiative.
He further stated that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the central government is positioning exports as a key driver of India’s economic growth. Initiatives like the EPM will strengthen India’s presence in global trade while also helping states like Himachal Pradesh gain greater international recognition for their industries.
