The three-day youth fest organized under the chairmanship of Dr. Neelam Sharma, Dean of Student Welfare of the University at the local APG Shimla University in the capital Shimla, ended successfully on Wednesday with colorful cultural and sports competitions. In this youth fest, players from schools, colleges and universities participated in many sports competitions like volleyball, kabaddi, chess, table tennis, weight lifting, push-up, treasure-hunt, wrestling etc. APG Shimla University, Kotshera College Shimla, Government Girls College Shimla. , Himachal Pradesh University, JP University Waknaghat, IGMC Shimla, Vivekananda Hostel Himgiri Shimla and Pujarli players from Byolia Gram Panchayat participated enthusiastically in various sports and cultural competitions. All sports competitions were led by Dr. Ankit Thakur and Acharya Saurav Saini. Kabaddi game saw a big competition between the participants of Poojaryli and Kotshera College and in the end the participants of Kotshera College won and in other games APG University and JP University were the overall champions. Campus of APG Shimla University buzzing with sports competitions, spent three days enjoying Pahari Night, Punjabi Night and glimpses of the cultures of the country and the state presented by the students through their dance, drama and songs and music and the visitors and dignitaries present at the fest. Entertained the people, teachers and students a lot. The audience also appreciated the better performance of these brilliant student-artists and players. Municipal Corporation Shimla Mayor Surendra Chauhan and Deputy Mayor Uma Kaushal participated as chief guests in the prize distribution ceremony on the last day of Youth Fest.
