Rs 07.55 crore approved for the construction of Khalsapati-Devra-Paplota road.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Public Works, Health and Family Welfare and Information and Public Relations Department) Sanjay Awasthi said that veneration of mother power is an integral part of Indian culture and the festival of Navratri teaches us to maintain balance in every sphere of life. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing the gathering today at the closing ceremony of Maha Ashtami Mela at Shri Bhadrakali Temple in Jakholi village of Devra Gram Panchayat of Arki Assembly constituency of Solan district.
Sanjay Awasthi said that the state government is making coordinated efforts for women empowerment. The state government is ensuring that women get equal opportunities in all fields.
He said that fairs are indicators of our rich culture and ancient traditions and it is our responsibility to preserve them. He said that it is necessary for the future generation to have knowledge of our ancient traditions and rich culture. In view of this, such events are important. He said that in this online era, we are moving away from the society, hence mutual interaction should continue through such events.
He urged the youth to understand the importance of Navratri and always respect women power in life.
He said that due to the sudden disaster recently, the economy of Himachal Pradesh got disrupted. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the state is moving forward from the bad times after facing the disaster. The government is making serious efforts for timely rehabilitation of the affected people and to give impetus to development.
He said that to provide better education to the youth in Arki assembly constituency, 50 bighas of land has been identified for setting up Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School near Jalana. He said that about Rs 20 crore has also been sanctioned for the construction of the school. He said that girl students will especially benefit from the commencement of M.A. classes in English and History in Government College, Arki.
The Chief Parliamentary Secretary said that every possible effort is being made to develop Arki Assembly constituency as a tourist destination. He said that the MLA has put a plan of about Rs 200 crore to build a ropeway from Swav village to Baridhar. He said that its work will be started in future. He said that 103 bighas of land has been identified for building the ropeway.
Sanjay Awasthi said that Rs 07.55 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of Khalsapati-Devra-Paplota road. He assured to pave the Jakholi road and provide irrigation facility from Manjyat to Dhanech. He told the concerned authorities that once the formalities for the construction of Shahar-Batal-Jakhola road are completed, adequate funds will be made available for this link road.
He announced to give Rs 02 lakh for the community hall Jakholi. He announced to give Rs 2100 to school children presenting cultural programs and Rs 21 thousand to the fair organizing committee.

Sharma, Tehsildar Raman Thakur and other dignitaries and villagers were present.
