Verma Jewellers launches Dhanteras special exhibition in Shimla, offers ₹3,000 bonus on old gold exchange

Shimla, November 4

Verma Jewellers has launched its four-day Dhanteras Special Exhibition and Sale at Hotel Marina, Shimla, bringing its five-decade legacy of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary jewellery designs to the state capital. The exhibition, themed ‘Manao Tyohaaron Ka Jashn’, will remain open from November 4 to 7, between 10.30 am and 8 pm.

In a major attraction for festive shoppers, the jeweller has introduced a special old gold exchange scheme, offering 100 per cent value for old gold along with an additional ₹3,000 for every 10 grams exchanged. Customers can upgrade their existing jewellery with new designs through a transparent exchange process based on purity and accurate weighing.

Inaugurating the exhibition, Poonam Sharma, president of Inner Wheel Club Shimla, lit the ceremonial lamp and appreciated the brand’s efforts to preserve Himachali jewellery traditions. She said such exhibitions added to the festive spirit of the city and extended Dhanteras greetings to the Verma family and Shimla residents.

The exhibition showcases more than 5,000 designs in gold, diamonds and silver, including traditional bridal sets, contemporary diamond jewellery and lightweight collections for everyday wear. The brand’s signature Pahadan Collection, which blends traditional Himachali jewellery with modern aesthetics, is among the key highlights.

“Jewellery is not merely a business for us; it is a way of giving Himachali identity a form in gold. Solan and Rohru are our home, while Shimla has always welcomed us like family,” said Akshay Verma, managing director of Verma Jewellers.

Creative director Pallavi Verma said the collection had been specially curated for Shimla customers, keeping different age groups, preferences and occasions in mind.

Under another festive offer, customers can lock in the prevailing gold rate by paying just 10 per cent of the total amount as a booking deposit. The scheme is valid until November 8, 2026. Additionally, SBI Card holders can avail cashback of up to ₹5,000 on purchases of ₹50,000 or above between November 1 and 7, subject to terms and conditions.

With established outlets in Solan and Rohru, Verma Jewellers offers gold, diamond, silver, heritage polki and traditional Himachali jewellery. Its Solan Silver Store at Chowk Bazaar specialises in silver ornaments.

The four-day exhibition is expected to attract jewellery enthusiasts and festive shoppers from Shimla and neighbouring areas, offering them an opportunity to explore an extensive range of traditional and contemporary designs ahead of Dhanteras.
