Shimla:
Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh attended the ‘Mantri Aapke Dwar’ programme held on Sunday in Dhanul village of Rampuri Keonthal Panchayat as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that development is a continuous process and efforts are made to complete projects within stipulated timelines. He appreciated the self-reliant spirit of the rural population in the area and emphasized that development becomes possible through collective cooperation.
Milk Collection Centre to Benefit 10 Panchayats
Vikramaditya Singh informed that efforts are underway to establish a milk collection centre in the Jalog area, which will benefit nearly 10 panchayats. He added that similar facilities will be considered in the future for surrounding panchayats of the Rampuri Keonthal region.
He expressed confidence that the financial condition of Himachal Pradesh would improve in the coming years, stating that the present government is taking effective steps in this direction. He added that public announcements should be made according to genuine needs.
Development Projects Highlighted
The Minister said that ₹70 lakh has already been spent on metalling of the Jathia Devi–Rampuri road. He also informed that approval has been granted for setting up a biogas plant at the waste management facility in Bhariyal. The processed waste will also be utilized in cement manufacturing.
He further stated that a road to Matholi village will be constructed in the future and that the Fayal–Heyun road will be brought under the Public Works Department. For now, the work will be completed by diverting it through the ambulance road.
During the programme, local residents raised various public issues. The Minister assured that these concerns would be addressed on a priority basis. He also announced a grant of ₹3 lakh for the local panchayat.
Several local leaders, party workers, officials, and residents were present on the occasion.
