Shimla
Contradictions in the Shimla Police’s SIT inquiry have surfaced during the CBI’s initial investigation into the mysterious death of Power Corporation Chief Engineer Vimal Negi. Based on the call detail record (CDR), CBI might take action in the case. If concrete evidence turns up, SIT’s to be in trouble
Additionally, it’s unclear how many documents have been extracted from the pen drive and how many were destroyed. These are the questions that CBI seeks to address. The CBI is attempting to determine who was there at the scene when Vimal Negi’s body was retrieved based on the call detail records of SIT members. The CBI is looking into whether the regulations were followed during the corpse search and when SIT notified the local police station that the body had been discovered.
The documents taken from the SP Office in Shimla are being examined by two CBI teams. Records are being used to connect the incident’s links. For this task, two teams have been sent to the CBI camp headquarters at the Grand Hotel. This week, Vimal Negi’s wife Kiran Negi will provide the CBI team with details regarding the entire occurrence. According to reports, Vimal Negi’s brother also provided the CBI with information on the case on Tuesday.
During a news conference on Tuesday, Bhagat Singh, the Executive President of Vimal Negi Janjati Nyay Manch, questioned the involvement of SP Shimla and the state government. He said that the SIT Shimla report contained false information, and that SP Shimla was responsible for providing the medical report. It is unclear what SP Shimla is under pressure to perform or what his urge is. He first concealed the report. The location of Vimal Negi’s stay from March 10–13 has not been revealed by the SIT inquiry, nor has the laptop and mobile device been found. What plot is this, and SP Shimla has now personally contested the CBI investigation’s single bench’s ruling through LPA? This begs a lot of questions.
He said that from day one, SP Shimla had been falsifying the facts in Vimal Negi’s case and claimed that Vimal Negi’s murder was premeditated. In the instance of Chief Engineer Vimal Negi’s death, the state government has not assisted in filing a formal complaint. Kiran Negi, the wife of Vimal Negi, filed the complaint that led to the implementation of this judicial action. Since the government’s involvement in the case was subtly questioned throughout, it was impossible for them to carry out an unbiased inquiry.
On April 8, the Additional Chief Secretary, Home, submitted the inquiry report; however, despite this, the investigation report was not turned over to the family. The family was forced to request the investigative report from the court. According to this research, HPPCL is severely corrupt. The administration attempted to alter the report in spite of this. According to Bhagat Singh, Omkar Sharma is being tormented by being placed on vacation and having all of his departments taken away from him because he disobeyed the government.
Vimal Negi’s maternal uncle, Rajendra Negi, said that personal allegations were made against me. He said that when the cabinet minister went to Kinnaur on May 25, a statement from one of his well-wishers came that Vimal Negi’s maternal uncle is a special man of Chaupal MLA Balbir Singh Verma and belongs to the BJP. He said that he is a soldier and has no connection with any party. Not only that, but he is fighting to get justice for his nephew. Furthermore, he alleged that he did not get any support from Jagat Singh Negi from the very first day. If the government had supported us, we would not have been forced to knock on the doors of the High Court.
