Mandi: The police administration in Mandi district has stepped up security arrangements to ensure that the festival of Holi is celebrated peacefully and with enthusiasm.
As per directions issued by Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar, a zero-tolerance policy will be adopted against those attempting to create disturbances or drive under the influence of alcohol during the festivities.
Multi-Layered Security Plan
To maintain law and order in Mandi town, the police have prepared a comprehensive security strategy. The entire city will remain under CCTV surveillance to closely monitor activities and prevent any untoward incidents.
Plainclothes police personnel will be deployed at Seri Manch and other crowded locations. Their primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of women and take strict action against individuals found forcibly applying colours or capturing photos and videos without consent.
Police officials have appealed to the public to celebrate Holi responsibly and cooperate with the administration to maintain peace and harmony.
