Akal Charitable Hospital, Baru Sahib, in collaboration with Akal College of Nursing and the School of Public Health, will organise its 111th Free Multi-Speciality Medical and Surgical Camp on October 3 and 4, offering free healthcare services to people from all communities.
The two-day camp will be held at Akal Charitable Hospital, Baru Sahib, from 9 am to 5 pm. The initiative is being organised in keeping with the vision of the late revered Sant Baba Iqbal Singh Ji Maharaj and his motto, “100 Years — A Life for Humanity.”
Patients attending the camp will receive free medical consultations, medicines, laboratory tests, X-rays and ultrasound examinations. Specialist consultations and surgical services will also be available.
The camp will cover a wide range of medical services, including general surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, general medicine, gynaecology, ophthalmology and dentistry. Free eye and dental check-ups, physiotherapy and other supportive healthcare services will also be provided. Free dialysis will be available for patients requiring the service.
Specialists attending the camp include Dr Gautam Singh, ENT Specialist, Jalandhar, and Dr G.P. Singh, Orthopaedic Specialist, Jalandhar, along with doctors from other specialities.
The camp will also offer free mental health and de-addiction counselling for men and women. The counselling services will be provided by Dr Rajinder Singh, MBBS, DPM, MD (Psychiatry), Director, Akal De-addiction and Psychiatry Services.
The camp is being conducted under the leadership of Dr Davinder Singh, MBBS, MD, President, The Kalgidhar Trust, and Dr Neelam Kaur, Director, Akal Charitable Hospital. Dr H.P. Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Akal Charitable Hospital, is hosting the camp.
Akal Charitable Hospital has appealed to people in the surrounding areas to make use of the free medical facilities. The camp will remain open from 9 am to 5 pm on October 3 and 4 at Akal Charitable Hospital, Baru Sahib.
