Shimla Police have registered a case following a complaint by a woman alleging that her two school-going children a brother and sister aged around 14 and 15 were abducted from the city.
According to police sources, the complainant, who hails from Dhahar in Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district, works at the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) in Shimla to earn her livelihood. She told police that both her teenage children have gone missing, prompting the registration of a kidnapping case.
Preliminary information suggests that the woman was first married in Sirmaur and later remarried in Haryana. Police are also looking into family circumstances as part of the investigation.
Shimla Police have constituted multiple teams to trace the missing siblings and are conducting searches at various locations. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction.
Police have appealed to anyone with information about the missing children to immediately contact the nearest police station or the Shimla Police Control Room.
