Winners in different competitions felicitated at school
Shimla, September 21: Students of Government Senior Secondary School, Chiyog, delivered an impressive performance at the Children’s Science Congress, securing three top positions in different competitions.
The event was organised at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Theog, with students from 47 schools participating in various competitions.
On their return to the school, the successful students were accorded a warm welcome by the staff and fellow students with a band and flower garlands. Principal Sandeep Sharma felicitated the students and presented them with mementoes in recognition of their achievements.
According to the principal, Aditya Bundel secured first position in the Science Model competition in the senior category for his Waste Segregation Model. Vaishali Sharma also secured first position in the Science Activity competition, while Aryan Rawat won second position in the Mathematics Olympiad.
Congratulating the students, Principal Sandeep Sharma said such competitions help enhance students’ confidence and inspire them to pursue excellence. He appreciated the contribution of Sunil Dogra, Lecturer in Mathematics; Jagriti Sharma, TGT Science; Rakesh Rawat, Lecturer in Physics, and other teachers associated with the science faculty for their guidance and support.
He said the achievement was the result of the students’ hard work and the dedicated guidance provided by their teachers.
Members of the School Management Committee also congratulated the achievers and credited their success to the guidance of the principal and the effective training provided by the teaching staff.
Physical Education Teacher Ramesh Verma, along with teachers, students and other school employees, was present during the felicitation ceremony.
