Shimla Police has arrested five new smugglers associated with the Shah Gang, and many smugglers are on the target of Shimla Police. So far, Shimla Police has arrested a total of 31 smugglers associated with the Shah Gang. Shimla Police raided the hideouts of Shah Gang throughout the day on Tuesday. The investigation of Shimla Police has revealed the money trail of drug smuggling.
The accused have been identified as Puneet Chauhan resident Sanjauli, Sunil Sharma resident Lower Khalini, Vinish Sarkaik resident Sanjauli, Rohit Chandel resident Theog and Umesh resident Theog. On the basis of linkage related to the money trail, the police have arrested 5 Chittha smugglers. Police have arrested these drug smugglers from different places in Shimla.
Many of them are from Rohru and Kotkhai while many smugglers are from Theog. This drug mafia had spread its roots not only in Himachal Pradesh but in the whole of North India. Shimla Police has found in its investigation that this gang was working like an organized supply chain.
Shah Gang had created a supply chain of drugs through social media platforms and online booking. Let us tell you that recently Shimla police arrested Kolkata smuggler Sandeep Shah. The police have found transactions worth crores of rupees in his account. This chitta racket was run through dark web and virtual numbers. Apart from this, many internet media platforms were also used for smuggling chitta. It has a network in many states of North India, including Himachal. More than 200 smugglers of this gang are on the radar of the police.
