Shimla
As part of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat program, a delegation of schoolchildren from Himachal Pradesh left for Kerala on Saturday. The group is made up of 71 pupils from the districts of Shimla, Kinnaur, Solan, and Lahaul-Spiti, 50 of whom are females and 21 of whom are boys.
The journey will take place between October 11 and October 15. The unique aspect of this trip is that the youngsters are flying to Kerala from government schools. Under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat program, Himachal is the first state in the nation to allow children to travel by air.
This is an exciting, thrilling, and proud event for these students. It is more than just a journey; it is a singular chance to gain knowledge and boost confidence. Eight escort instructors and Varsha Sood, State Coordinator of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, participated in the tour, which was planned under the direction of Rajesh Sharma, Director of Samagra Shiksha. Following their Saturday departure from Shimla, the kids spent the evening in the Chhatbir Zoo in Chandigarh, where they were able to witness the abundant animals. On Sunday, the group will fly straight from Chandigarh to Kerala.
