Woman Dies After Falling from Fourth Floor of Tanda Hospital

Kangra, September 15: A 28-year-old woman died after allegedly jumping from a window on the fourth floor of Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College and Hospital (RPGMC), Tanda, in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district on Tuesday morning, police said.

The woman, a resident of the Bhawarna police station area, had been undergoing treatment at the hospital after allegedly consuming poison. She was admitted to the medicine ward following treatment.

According to the information available, the woman allegedly jumped from a fourth-floor window of the hospital on Tuesday morning. She died in the incident.Hospital authorities informed the police following the incident. Police registered a case and initiated an investigation.

The body was sent for post-mortem examination and was later handed over to the family.The circumstances that led to the woman taking the extreme step are yet to be ascertained, police said. Further investigation is underway.
