Ladakh
Ladakh Autonomous Hills Council, with the help of IAF Station Leh, successfully delivered essential supplies to the remote villages of Dipling and Zingchen which remain cut off during the winter months. The supplies were delivered just ahead of Losar and New Year celebrations to ensure that the villagers have access to food, essential items, and fresh stock during this festival. Due to the recent snowfall, the villages of Dipling and Zingchen were completely cut off from the rest of Ladakh, making it impossible for the locals to get fresh stock or vegetables. In response, LAHDC with the assistance of IAF Station Leh deployed helicopters to bring much-needed supplies to these isolated areas.
LAHDC Leh Chairman Tashi Gyalson thanked Wing Commander D.S. Handa expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the prompt action and assistance rendered by Indian Air Force Station Leh led by Air Officer Commanding (AOC) of Air Force Station Leh and the team of pilots who successfully carried out the operation, ensuring smooth delivery of supplies to the villages of Dipling and Zingchen.
The villagers of Dipling and Zingchen expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Chairman Tashi Gyalson and Air Officer Commanding, D.S. Handa for their cooperation in delivering these essential supplies through helicopters and appreciated the timely intervention, which brought joy and relief to the people of these remote villages in celebrating Losar and New Year.
