Hamirpur, September 23, 2026: BJP MP and former Union minister Anurag Singh Thakur on Wednesday congratulated newly appointed Himachal Pradesh BJP in-charge Shrikant Sharma and co-in-charge Darshana Singh on being entrusted with new organisational responsibilities.
The appointments are part of a nationwide organisational reshuffle by the BJP, with Shrikant Sharma named the party’s in-charge for Himachal Pradesh and Rajya Sabha MP Darshana Singh appointed co-in-charge. The appointments take immediate effect. The reshuffle was announced by BJP national president Nitin Nabin.
Congratulating the two leaders, Thakur expressed confidence that their experience, organisational capabilities and commitment would contribute to strengthening the BJP organisation in Himachal Pradesh. He said their guidance would bring fresh energy to the state unit and further strengthen coordination with party workers.
Thakur said the BJP organisation in Himachal Pradesh has continued to grow through the hard work and collective efforts of its workers. He expressed hope that the new responsibilities would give further momentum to organisational activities and enable workers to benefit from the experience and guidance of the newly appointed leaders.
He extended his best wishes to Shrikant Sharma and Darshana Singh for a successful and meaningful tenure in their new roles.
