Seven children of Middle School Bhadech adjacent to Junga participated in the 17th national level junior grappling competition held at Jammu University yesterday, out of which four children won six silver and bronze medals and brought laurels to the school and the region. Physical teacher of Bhadech school Sukhdev Rana told that grappling is a type of wrestling competition which was organized by the Indian Grappling Association in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Grappling Association under the aegis of United World Wrestling. Under 15 junior players from 22 states of the country participated in it. Junior players of Himachal Pradesh performed well in this national level grappling competition and won 31 medals, out of which 6 medals were won by the players of Shimla district Bhadech School. He told that Dixit of Bhadech school won one silver and one bronze medal in the 38 kg weight category. While Akshit won two bronze medals in 30 kg weight category, Suryansh won bronze in 42 kg weight category and Aadarsh won bronze in 46 kg weight category. He gave the credit of this achievement of the school to the headmaster Sangeeta Gupta, SMC and local people due to whose inspiration the children of this small school showed their talent at the national level.
President of Himachal Pradesh Amateur Grappling Association, Sanjay Kumar congratulated and wished all the medal winning players.
