Shimla district’s Rohru subdivision witnessed panic on Wednesday morning after threatening posters claiming to blow up the SDM Office Rohru were found pasted near the office premises. The posters created fear among employees and local residents, prompting immediate action by the administration and police.
According to initial information, the threatening messages warned of a bomb attack on the SDM office. As soon as the matter came to light, police teams rushed to the spot and launched an investigation. Security around the office complex was tightened, while officials carried out thorough checking of the premises.
Police officials said CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined to identify the persons responsible for putting up the posters. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in spreading panic and threatening public safety.
Meanwhile, officials have appealed to the public not to panic and to immediately inform police about any suspicious activity. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
