Shimla/Chamba, January 01: A tragic incident has come to light on the occasion of New Year from Banikhet in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. Hotel general manager Rajinder Singh lost his life during an argument and minor clash between front manager Sachin at Nature Valley Resort and policeman Anup posted in Tissa area.
The incident took place last night at around 1:30 am. The argument between the policeman and the front manager staying at the hotel after the end of duty took a serious turn, due to which all three fell from the road towards the parking area. The general manager died in the accident, while the police personnel and front manager were injured.

Constable Anup was returning after duty at the party blockade, but the staff stopped him to have food. Meanwhile, the policeman had an argument with the hotel’s front manager Sachin over some issue. The argument escalated so much that both of them came out of the hotel towards the road. Hotel general manager Rajinder Singh tried to intervene, but in the meantime all three slipped from the road and fell towards the parking lot. The policeman and the front manager were also injured in the accident, while the general manager of the hotel was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he died.

In the preliminary investigation it seems that this incident did not happen with the intention of murder, hence the police is also investigating from the aspect of culpable homicide. Dalhousie DSP Hemant Thakur told MBM News Network that investigation has been started immediately after the incident. He said that CCTV footage is being analyzed and statements of people present at the spot are also being recorded. However, this incident became a sad memory amid the New Year celebrations in Himachal Pradesh. The police is investigating every aspect in depth so that the truth can come out.
