SANCHAY, Mathematics club of Shoolini University, organised its first event to celebrate Pi day to celebrate the Pi Day.

The competition consisted of reciting Pi-Digit to put the participants’ memory to the test. Garima from BA English won the challenge by reciting 101 digits of Pi, while Aparajitaa from BSc Food Nutrition and Dietetics recited 56 digits.
Sahil Kashyap, Research Scholar was the judge for the competition. “Pi is a number just a little bit bigger than three, which helps us understand our universe with greater clarity”, he said in his opening address.
The competition drew more than 50 students, with Nandini Rao, a B.Sc student, serving as the event’s moderator. Members of the SANCHAY club also set up cookie, pie, and custard stands to help spread the word about Pi Day.
SANCHAY is a mathematical club created by B.Sc students to learn and explore the realm of numbers. The club is open to all the university students who want to discover and be creative in learning maths.
