Thousands of tourists are arriving in Shimla to celebrate the New Year. Meanwhile, four chitta smugglers from Punjab had reached Shimla in the guise of tourists. Shimla Police has arrested these smugglers red-handed along with Chitta. 41.7 grams of chitta has been recovered from them. The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act and started further action. According to the information received from the police, the team of Theog police station was on patrol in Nangaldevi, Theog. During this time, the police stopped a vehicle of Punjab number (PB 13A) in NangaldeviN 0053) examined. During investigation, police recovered 41.7 grams of chitta from four youths traveling in the car.
The accused youth have been identified as Jaspreet Singh son of Mahinder Pal Singh resident of New Seepri Street No. 1, Ward No. 23 New Shivpuri Bagga Kalan Santosh Nagar Ludhiana Punjab, Jatin son of Satish Kumar resident of Bindra Colony Santosh Nagar Ludhiana Punjab, Karan Singh son of Satnam Singh resident of Santosh Nagar Ludhiana. Punjab and new son SureshKumar resident of Bindra Colony, Santosh Nagar, Ludhiana Punjab.The police will also scrutinize the bank accounts and call details of these youth. It is being told that Shimla Police may soon make other arrests in this case also.
