The growing business of drug smuggling in Himachal Pradesh is becoming a matter of concern. However, the police team is keeping a close watch on these smugglers. In the latest case, Himachal Police has arrested five people with a consignment of chitta from two different places.
The police team has registered a case against the five accused and started further action. The first case has come to light from the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. Where, on the basis of secret information, the police team stopped a pickup loaded with vegetables coming from Dharampur near Anji for a search. During the search, the police team recovered 4.47 grams of chitta (heroin) from the pickup. After this, the police team took immediate action and arrested two people riding in the pickup on the spot.
Identification of the accused—Chandra Kishore (25), resident of Khada Patthar, Shimla
Vijay (33), resident of Deem, Shimla The second case has come to light from Sirmaur district. Here the SIU team of police has recovered 6.2 grams of heroin (chitta) from a Mahindra Bolero Neo number HP18C-7766 near the turpentine factory.
The police team has arrested three people in this case. The accused have been identified as Purna Chand (26) resident of village Baron, Virendra (37) resident of village Ghalja, Naveen Panwar (26) resident of village Baron
