The ration cards of the ration consumers who have not done e-KYC are being blocked by the Food Civil Supplies Department, but now the consumers will not have to make rounds of the department to get the blocked ration card unblocked. These ration cards will also be unblocked through the mobile app prepared by the department.
This will benefit the most those consumers whose family members are living outside the state and are not able to come to Himachal. These consumers can get the ration card unblocked along with getting e-KYC done through this app. By unblocking the ration card, consumers can again avail themselves of the benefit of cheap ration facilities in the depots as before.
If the consumers living in Himachal or outside have not gotten e-KYC done, then such people can go to the Google Play Store on their mobile phones and download the e-KYC PDS HP Face App, after which, through this app, people in foreign countries and other states can get e-KYC done even from home.
Apart from this, consumers can also get e-KYC done through an e-POS machine by visiting Lokmitra Kendra or the nearest fair price shop, after which the blocked ration card will be unblocked, and consumers can go to the depots and collect their ration quota for this month.
