National Lok Adalat will be organised on May 9, 2026, at the District and Sessions Court Solan complex, as well as at the court complexes of Kandaghat, Arki, Kasauli and Nalagarh, said Prashant Singh Negi, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Solan, here today.
Prashant Singh Negi stated that various cases will be settled on the basis of compromise at the National Lok Adalat to be held on May 9, 2026. He stated that any interested individual wishing to have their case resolved by the National Lok Adalat may apply on plain paper to the District Legal Services Authority office in Solan or to any court in the district before May 9, 2026. He added that applications can also be submitted to the court where the case is pending.
The Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority stated that the National Lok Adalat will hear and settle cases involving criminal compoundable offenses, check bounce cases, vehicle challan cases, and money recovery. He added that in addition, road accident claims, labor department cases, electricity and water bills, matrimonial disputes, land acquisition cases, salary and allowances, and retirement-related cases will be heard and settled. He added that cases not yet filed in court will also be settled in the Lok Adalat.
Prashant Singh Negi said that Lok Adalat saves time and money, and court fees are also waived. Court fees for previous cases are refunded. He added that no party faces any penalties. He added that vehicle challan cases can also be paid by visiting the virtual court site.
