The Forest Colony Welfare Committee, Chakkar (Kamna Nagar), Shimla, unanimously elected its new executive body during a peaceful and transparent election held on Saturday. The election was conducted under the chairmanship and in the presence of Superintendent-I Pradeep Thakur.
Following the successful completion of the election process, the committee unanimously constituted its new executive body for the upcoming term. Ravindra Mehta was elected President, Narayan Singh as Senior Vice-President, Jitender as Vice-President, Umesh Kumar as General Secretary, Sanju Rajta as Joint Secretary, and Chaman Lal as Treasurer.
Congratulating the newly elected office-bearers, Pradeep Thakur expressed confidence that the committee would work collectively for the overall development of the colony, strengthen harmony among residents, and continue undertaking initiatives in the larger public interest. He said the newly constituted team would play a vital role in addressing residents’ concerns and ensuring the smooth functioning of the welfare committee.
The entire election process was conducted peacefully with the unanimous consent of all members present. The proceedings were duly recorded and formally approved, reflecting the collective support and commitment of the residents towards the committee’s future initiatives.
