On the 100th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur paid floral tribute to the statue of Atal Ji at Ridge Ground. After this, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla also inaugurated an exhibition on the biography of Atal Ji by cutting the ribbon.
On this occasion, Governor Shukla said that people used to say that Atal Ji should live a hundred years. Atal Ji did not live a hundred years, but today we are celebrating the centenary of his birth, but people used to say that he should live a hundred years so that he does such a work for society in his 100 years of life that he becomes an example. Revered Atal Ji had given India such an achievement without completing 100 years, as he did in Pokhran; the whole world was astonished. He demonstrated this by conducting the nuclear test and gave a message to the whole world that India will not accept the coercive power of others in front of its own strength. We are messengers of peace, but we certainly know how to bring about a revolution. Atal Ji taught this. Atal Ji worked to bring about economic reforms in the entire country. Even while being in the opposition, he took along every party and governed so well that it is celebrated as Good Governance Day. Today we pay our tributes to him. Certainly, Atal Ji’s life is an example for the entire political landscape. The Governor said that no comparison can be made with the politics of a particular time. Comparison is made with the individual, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji, as an individual, worked to bind the entire country, worked to bind the entire political life, and showed the entire world that in the future, India will become the religious guru and the world guru.
