The Meteorological Department in Himachal Pradesh issued a forecast of rain in the days coming. Until July 2, the state will continue to see rain. In many locations, mild to moderate rain is anticipated during this period, while in other locations, severe to extremely heavy rain is anticipated. Meanwhile, on June 29, the Meteorological Department issued an alert about heavy rain in ten areas.
According to the Meteorological Center Shimla, light to moderate and heavy rain is expected on June 27. Today, a yellow alert has been issued regarding the weather in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur. While on June 28, an alert has been issued regarding rain in Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur. At the same time, an orange alert has been issued regarding heavy rain at most places on June 29. According to the Meteorological Department, an alert for heavy rain has been issued on June 29 in Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur. Apart from this, a yellow alert has been issued for rain across the state from June 30 to July 2.
Likewise to the previous two years, the monsoon has delivered devastation this year as well. In Sainj, Kullu, there was a cloudburst at the start of the monsoon. whereby three individuals have disappeared. At the same time, flooding in Dharamshala’s Manuni Khad of Khaniyara carried away eight workers. from which five workers’ bodies have been found. However, three remain unaccounted for. whose search the NDRF and SDRF teams are conducting. The state’s rivers and streams now have higher water levels as a result of the intense rainfall. In several of the state’s districts, rivers and streams are overflowing. Additionally, the Beas River’s water level in Mandi has significantly grown.
