Theog, July 21: In view of continuous rainfall and worsening weather conditions, the Sub-Divisional Administration, Theog, has ordered the closure of all Government and Private Educational Institutions in the subdivision on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
The closure applies to all Government and Private Schools, Colleges, Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), and Anganwadi Centres operating within Sub-Division Theog.
According to the administration, the decision was taken after assessing the prevailing weather conditions, the closure of 16 roads, and the forecast of continued moderate rainfall throughout the day. The move aims to ensure the safety and security of students, teachers, and staff, while preventing inconvenience caused by disrupted road connectivity.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Theog, has directed all concerned educational institutions to strictly comply with the order.
The district administration has also advised residents to remain cautious, avoid unnecessary travel in rain-affected areas, and follow official weather and traffic advisories until conditions improve.
