The district-level celebration of Himachal Day will be celebrated with great enthusiasm on 15 April 2025 at the historic Ridge Ground. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap while presiding over a meeting held here today regarding the preparations for the celebrations.
He informed that an attractive parade will be organized in the program, in which Shimla Police, Traffic Police, Home Guard, NSS, Scout and Guide, SDRF, Indian Police Reserve Corps, as well as Disaster Mitras will be involved, whose rehearsal will start on April 11, 2025. Similarly, cultural programs will also be organized in the function, in which students of various schools will give their colorful presentations. While giving instructions, the deputy commissioner said that all the invitation cards for the function should be sent in time.
Anupam Kashyap also gave instructions to pay special attention to cleanliness at the venue, make proper seating arrangements for everyone and ensure better decoration.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed all the departments to work in coordination and complete all the preparations by the stipulated time frame.
The meeting was conducted by Assistant Commissioner Gopal Chand Sharma.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Verma, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Shimla Rural) Kavita Thakur, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Shimla Urban) Bhanu Gupta, District Language Officer Anil Harta and officers of other departments were also present in the meeting.
