Shimla, April 17: The Himachal Pradesh government has ordered a reshuffle of several Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) officers with immediate effect, according to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel on Friday.
As per the orders, Sachin Kanwal (HPAS 2009), currently serving as Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been given the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, Himachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission. He will replace Shivam Pratap Singh (IAS), who has been relieved of this additional responsibility.
In another key move, Sunil Verma (HPAS 2013) will continue to function as Additional Secretary (Revenue & Housing) to the state government. He is already holding the additional charge of Director, Estates.
Chandan Kapoor (HPAS 2017), who was serving as Additional Director, Tourism & Civil Aviation, has been posted as Additional Director, Language, Art & Culture.
Meanwhile, Bhanu Gupta (HPAS 2018) has been appointed as Director, Estates. He was earlier serving as Joint Director in the Language, Art & Culture department.
Further, Sanjeev Kumar (HPAS 2023), currently Deputy Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been assigned the additional charge of Director, Small Savings. He replaces Anil Kumar (HPAS 2013), who has been relieved of this responsibility.
The orders were issued by Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta, stating that the transfers and postings have been made in public interest and will take effect immediately.
