The newly inducted students of the First Year Undergraduate Programmes and First Year LL.M. Programme took the Anti-Ragging Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful academic environment. The event, under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla was organized at the university campus and the pledge was administered by Dr. Deepika Gautam, Associate Dean Students’ Welfare (Women) as part of the University’s efforts to promote a ragging-free campus and foster a culture of mutual respect and academic excellence.
The students collectively pledged not to engage in, encourage, or tolerate any form of ragging, harassment, intimidation, or discriminatory behaviour. They also resolved to contribute towards creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all members of the University community.
The event reflects HPNLU’s unwavering commitment to ensuring a secure and conducive learning atmosphere where students can pursue academic excellence free from fear, discrimination, or harassment. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the newly admitted students, who expressed their dedication to upholding the values and ethos of the University throughout their academic journey.
