Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today at HHH Shimla to introduce customized rail-based travel packages inorder to boost tourism and increase revenue.

The collaboration will offer integrated travel packages combining rail journeys, hotel stays, and local sightseeing. Tourists will be able to book seamless packages that include transportation, accommodation at HPTDC hotels, and other hospitality services, making travel planning easier and more affordable.
Officials present at the signing ceremony included Harjot Singh Sandhu (Chief Regional Manager, IRCTC), Harsh Deep (Joint General Manager, IRCTC), Rajeev Kumar (Managing Director, HPTDC), Anil Taneja (General Manager, HPTDC), and Dhiraj Bali (Deputy General Manager – Marketing, HPTDC).
Shimla Toy Train Weekend Getaway Announced
As part of the tie-up, a special 2 Nights / 3 Days “Shimla Toy Train Weekend Getaway” package has been launched from March 27 to March 29, 2026.
