The 15th edition will be held at the Tibetan Children’s Village near Dal Lake.
Dharamshala, September 28: The 15th edition of the Dharamshala International Film Festival will be held at the Tibetan Children’s Village near Dal Lake from October 29 to November 1. A meeting was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Vivek Chauhan with the organizers and officials from various departments to ensure the successful organization of the festival.
In the meeting, the Assistant Commissioner directed the officials of the concerned departments to ensure timely arrangements for electricity, drinking water, cleanliness, transportation, law and order, medical facilities and other necessary arrangements at the venue. He said that organizing this international level film festival will promote tourism activities in Dharamshala and Kangra district. Also, local students and youth interested in film production and related fields will get the opportunity to learn from filmmakers and experts from India and abroad.
He also directed the concerned departments to complete the preparations for the event with mutual coordination and to provide better facilities to the visitors.
SDM Dharamshala Mohit Ratan, Film Festival Director Ritu Sareen, Manager Lucy Peter, Community Outreach Coordinator Abhishek Thakur and officers from various departments were present in the meeting.
