At the INTACH Filmit Film Festival, Jaipur, 2023-24.
Janhvi Sharma, the founder of Digital Baal Mela, has won the “Best Personal Story” Award at the INTACH Filmit India project 2023 – 24 competition. She represented her school Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya, with her film “My personal Heritage – The true essence of it.” in which the values, skills, and habits imparted to children at home from the family are described as the true heritage. From writing the story to acting, editing, shooting, all the work of this film was done by Janhvi herself, with Ansh Gandhi as the Supporting actor. The “Best Personal Story” Award was presented to Janhvi at the film festival organized at The Palace School, Jaipur.
The message Janhvi has tried to convey through this film, is that one’s heritage is not just about the materialistic treasures they aquire from their elders, but also about the learnings and ways of life they inherit. It’s what completes and makes their personality unique, and connects them to their culture and roots.
So, while we see our personal heritage as our pride, let us also realise it is our passion.
Digital Baal Mela has organized a writing competition on important days of the month of February. At the end of the competition, the child with the best writing skills will be given a cash prize of Rs.1,100. All participants are welcome.
Send the articles written by you to Digital Baal Mela. Articles written by the children writers will be posted on the website of Digital Baal Mela.
The Digital Baal Mela was started by Janhvi Sharma, a student of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya, Jaipur, to lessen the boredom of children during the Corona period. Under this, many campaigns have been organized so far, like “Bachhon Ki Sarkar Kaisi Ho”, “Main Bhi Baal Sarpanch”, “Kaun Banega Loktantra Prahari”, “Museums Through My Eyes” etc.
