The jobs of 132 outsourced employees working in IGMC, the largest hospital of Himachal Pradesh, will end on Wednesday. The jobs of these employees are in danger in the new year. IGMC Hospital administration has terminated the contract with these employees. The hospital administration has also issued instructions to make alternative arrangements in place of all these employees.
The hospital administration says that after the termination of the services of these employees, they will fill the shortage of employees at Trauma Center and many other places. These vacant posts will be filled soon. Instructions have also been issued to fill it. At the same time, 132 outsourced employees in the hospital are still confused. No instructions have yet been given to the outsourced employees as to whether they should come to work or not.
Nisha, the head of the outsourced employees, said that till now they have not been given any instructions as to whether to go to work or not. A notification has been issued by the contractor. The union of outsourced employees has decided that they will go to work as before. If after that his attendance is not sent then talks will be held with the hospital administration.
Nisha, president of IGMC Outsourced Employees Association, said, “A meeting has been held with the hospital administration.
Due to the absence of the hospital principal, no final decision could be taken. Other hospital officials have currently given time till 2 pm on Wednesday. Only after this can any further orders be issued from our side on this issue. Till then all employees have been asked to come to work.
