Solan, September 27: The LR Institute of Education, Solan, organised a lecture-cum-workshop on “Personal Transformation, Human Potential and Identification of Innate Talents”, focusing on self-awareness, creativity, problem-solving and emerging skills among students.
The programme was attended by Principal Dr Nisha Sharma. Prof. (Dr) B.S. Chauhan of IGMC, Shimla, and R.D. Aulakh of Certifai Technologies FZCO, Dubai, interacted with students as expert speakers.
The experts highlighted the importance of recognising individual strengths and developing human potential. They also discussed creative thinking, problem-solving, artificial intelligence, digital technologies and future-ready skills. Key aspects of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and experiential learning were also covered during the session.
Dr Nisha Sharma said modern education should go beyond marks and the conventional curriculum and focus on developing students’ ability to think, create, solve problems and adapt to changing circumstances.
As part of the workshop, students participated in activities including psychometric tests, DMIT, Karada Scan, brain balancing and brain gym exercises. The activities received enthusiastic participation from the students.
Managing Director Dr Shachi Singh said such lectures and workshops help enhance students’ practical knowledge, confidence and overall development.
The programme was coordinated by Professor Megha Thakur, with faculty members Professor Suchita Thakur, Bhawna, Professor Priyanka Sharma and Professor Amrita contributing to its successful conduct. Non-teaching staff member Ravika also played an important role in the event.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to the expert speakers. Students described the session as informative and experiential and expressed their interest in having more such programmes in the future.
