Manali: The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has announced the temporary closure of The Castle, Naggar in Kullu district for all visitors and tourists due to essential restoration and renovation work.
According to an official press release issued by the Marketing Office of HPTDC, Manali, the historic property has been closed to preserve its structural integrity and protect its rich heritage value. The restoration work is being undertaken to ensure long-term conservation of the iconic landmark.
Naggar Castle, a major attraction in the Kullu-Manali region, draws a large number of domestic and international tourists every year. Officials acknowledged the inconvenience caused to visitors and travel partners and sought public cooperation during the restoration period.
HPTDC expressed regret for the inconvenience and emphasized that the steps are necessary to safeguard Himachal Pradesh’s historical heritage.
The closure will remain in effect until further notice.
