A National Lok Adalat will be organised on December 12, 2026, at the District and Sessions Court, Solan campus, and at the court complexes of Kandaghat, Arki, Kasauli, and Nalagarh, according to Prashant Singh Negi, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Solan.
Prashant Singh Negi stated that various cases will be settled through compromise in the Lok Adalat. He added that criminal compoundable offenses, check bounce cases, vehicle challan recovery cases, etc. will be heard and settled in the National Lok Adalat.
He said that in addition, road accident claims, labor disputes, electricity and water bills, matrimonial disputes, land acquisition cases, salary and allowances, and retirement matters will also be heard and settled. He said that cases that have not yet been filed in court will also be settled in the Lok Adalat.
Prashant Singh Negi said that Lok Adalat saves time and money. Court fees are not charged here, and court fees for old cases are refunded. No party faces any penalties. He added that vehicle challan cases can also be paid by visiting the virtual court site.
He said that if any interested person wants to get his case settled, he can apply on plain paper before December 12, 2026 in the District Legal Services Authority office, Solan and all the courts of the district or can also apply in the court in which the case is pending.
