The Barsar police in Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur district has arrested a petrol pump owner on charges of heroin smuggling. The accused has been identified as Ashish Kumar alias Ishu, a resident of village Seri. The said youth was also selling chitta along with petrol at the petrol pump. The police has arrested the person red handed with chitta.
On April 2, while patrolling in Bhakhredi, the police received information from sources that a person runs a petrol pump in Bani and he also sells chitta there. The police searched the cabin of the petrol pump in the presence of independent witnesses. 38.63 grams of heroin was recovered from the table rack. The police produced the accused in the court on April 3. The court has sent him on police remand till April 7. The police is investigating the matter thoroughly.
