To boost the tourism sector in Himachal Pradesh, the government will soon launch a cruise and Shikara in Gobind Sagar Lake as well as in Kol Dam. The preparation for this project has been done, and soon it will be launched by CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Bilaspur Deputy Commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq said that water sports activities including jet skis, high-tech motorboats rescue boats are going to start within Gobind Sagar Lake. The Cruise and Shikara will reach here in the next ten to fifteen days.
This project will create more employment opportunities, he added. Abid Hussain Sadiq said that before going to Kullu and Manali, this will attract tourists and there will be an increase in income. Within the next ten to fifteen days, cruise and Shikara will reach Bilaspur, while jet skis, motorboats rescue boats etc. have already reached. Tourism development is the main priority in Bilaspur.
Deputy Commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq, there is also a plan to develop a village named as Kasol near Koldam which will boost tourism activities within the state. This Kasol village will provide information about dairy farming, agriculture and other activities, and tourists can also do fishing activities at the Kol dam. Homestay permission will be given to people for the convenience of overnight stay in Kasol. Along with this, Bilaspuri Dham and traditional cuisine will also be provided.
Mandi Bharari or Kiratpur-Nerchowk four-lane will be developed, for which the blueprint of the plan has been prepared, he added. After getting the permission of BBMB, the next action plan is being finalized. Zip line will be prepared on the lake in Mandi Bharari, while there is also a plan to build a skywalk bridge, Abid added
