Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh today reviewed the preparations for the state-level programme of unveiling the statue of former Chief Minister Late Raja Virbhadra Singh to be organised on October 13, 2025 at the historic Ridge ground.
He discussed in detail with the officials about the stage, seating arrangements, shamiana, exhibition, traffic and other issues in the programme.
He stated that Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Party Incharge Rajni Patil, and Rajiv Shukla, along with senior Congress Party leaders from across the country and the state, will attend the state-level event on October 13th. Additionally, the Chief Minister, the entire cabinet, other leaders, and people from across the state will participate. He stated that the late Raja Virbhadra Singh, who served as Chief Minister six times, had a significant contribution to the state’s development, and therefore, everyone had been eagerly awaiting this day. He stated that efforts would be made to further the development work undertaken by the late Raja Virbhadra Singh. He added that efforts would be made to further strengthen the state in the future.
During this, Vice President Himuda Yashwant Chajta, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap, Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi and other officers of the district administration were also present.
