Hamirpur/Bhoranj, May 5, 2026:
State OBC Commission member Rajiv Rana visited Dr. Radhakrishnan Medical College and Hospital, Hamirpur, following a tragic road accident near Garli-Dhabdiyana in Bhoranj that claimed two lives and left two others injured.
Rana met the injured, Prithi Chand and Saroj Kumari, and enquired about their condition, which doctors said is stable and improving. He also interacted with the bereaved family members and offered his condolences over the loss.
Describing the incident as “deeply tragic and heartbreaking,” Rana said the region had lost two respected citizens. “My heartfelt condolences are with the grieving family. I pray for peace for the departed souls and a speedy recovery for the injured,” he said.
The accident occurred when a Santro car (HP 22D 3596) lost control and plunged nearly 250 feet into a gorge. The deceased were identified as Ramesh Chand Dhiman (74) and his wife Santosh Kumari (66), residents of Dalalard village in Bhoranj.
The incident has cast a pall of gloom across the Bhoranj area.
