Rampur, September 17, 2026: Rampur Hydro Power Station (Rampur HPS) has launched Swachhata Pakhwada 2026, being observed from September 17 to October 2 in accordance with the directions of the Ministry of Power and the corporate office.
As part of the initiative, Project Head Er Vikas Marwah administered the Swachhata pledge to officers and employees on Thursday. During the pledge, employees committed to making cleanliness an integral part of their daily lives, maintaining a clean environment around them and encouraging others to adopt cleanliness practices.
The employees also pledged to dedicate 100 hours every year towards cleanliness-related activities.
Addressing the gathering, Marwah said cleanliness is the foundation of a healthy and positive life and every individual has a responsibility to contribute towards keeping their homes, workplaces and surroundings clean.
He urged employees not to restrict cleanliness to a campaign but to make it an integral part of their everyday routine.
Marwah said cleanliness extends beyond maintaining external surroundings and includes personal hygiene, cleanliness of conduct and values. He called upon employees to keep their surroundings and environment clean and contribute towards building a clean and healthy India.
During the fortnight, various cleanliness and public awareness activities will be organised across the project premises and project-affected areas. These will include cleanliness awareness campaigns, cleanliness drives, display of posters and messages, public awareness programmes and activities involving employees and local residents.
The initiative aims to strengthen community participation and promote cleanliness as a sustained practice beyond the duration of the campaign.
