IPS officer replaces IAS officer Vinay Kumar, who has been relieved of additional charge with immediate effect

The Himachal Pradesh government has appointed IPS officer Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi (HP:2012) as the new Managing Director of the Himachal Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation, Kangra.
According to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel on Tuesday, Gandhi’s services have been placed at the disposal of the Personnel Department for the new assignment on the recommendations of the Civil Services Board.The order, issued in the name of the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, said Gandhi will take over as Managing Director with immediate effect and in the public interest.
With the appointment, IAS officer Vinay Kumar (HP:2018) has been relieved of the additional charge of Managing Director of the corporation.The notification was issued by the Department of Personnel (Appointment-I Section) and circulated to the concerned departments, including the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Personnel and Training, state government departments, divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners and heads of departments for compliance.
The order was issued on October 7, 2026, by the Himachal Pradesh government.
