The District Administration Shimla organised a farewell function to mark the retirement of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Shimla Rural Manjeet Sharma, who is set to retire on September 30.
Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap, Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Gyan Sagar Negi, Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Pankaj Sharma, SDM Shimla Urban Sunny Sharma, along with senior officers and employees of various departments, attended the farewell function.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner and other officials honoured Manjeet Sharma and appreciated his long and dedicated service. Kashyap said Sharma had discharged his administrative responsibilities with dedication, commitment and sincerity, adding that the district administration had benefited from his experience and contribution during his tenure.
Officials and employees recalled their experiences of working with Sharma and wished him good health, happiness, prosperity and a fulfilling post-retirement life.
Expressing gratitude for the affection and support extended by colleagues, Sharma said his government service had given him valuable experiences while working in different positions, which he would always cherish.
The district administration officials and employees conveyed their best wishes to Sharma for the next chapter of his life.
