Shimla: A road accident occurred on the Theog–Hatkoti Road in Himachal Pradesh after a car collided with a truck, triggering panic among commuters.
According to reports, the accident took place on National Highway 705, which connects Theog to Hatkoti. The collision was reportedly severe, leaving multiple occupants of the car injured. Locals and passersby rushed to the spot and helped rescue the victims from the damaged vehicle.
The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police teams reached the scene soon after receiving information and initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.
Preliminary information suggests that reckless driving or negligence may have led to the crash, though officials said the exact reason will be confirmed after a detailed probe.
Traffic on the highway was briefly disrupted following the incident before being restored.
