The Centre for Leadership Coaching at Shoolini University conducted a two-day Level-1 ICF Coaching Education Immersion Programme, bringing together participants from Hyderabad, Gurgaon, and faculty members from the university.
The experiential learning journey featured live coaching conversations, advanced coaching techniques, metaphor work, outdoor reflection sessions, and deep listening practices.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Ashoo Khosla, Chief Learning Officer (CLO) at Shoolini University, who encouraged participants to embrace the transformative learning experience. Reflecting on the event, she remarked that the immersion facilitated profound insights, enabling participants to reflect, grow, and integrate coaching into their personal and professional lives.
Congratulating the participants on the successful completion of the programme, Chancellor Prof. P.K. Khosla emphasised that the initiative marked the beginning of a transformative journey in coaching. He reiterated the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of coaching and leadership development.
As India’s first university to receive provisional approval as a Level-1 ICF Coaching Education provider, Shoolini University is setting a new benchmark in coaching education. Payal Khanna, Deputy Director and Head of the Centre for Leadership Coaching, highlighted the significance of this achievement, stating that the university is dedicated to ensuring credibility and rigour in coaching education. She added that the programme aims to shape a new generation of coaches capable of making a meaningful impact in their professional and personal spheres.
The face-to-face immersion format played a crucial role in the programme’s success. Unlike online learning, the in-person approach fostered real-time mentorship, live coaching practice, and transformational dialogue. A key highlight was the “Coaching in Nature” session, where participants engaged in coaching conversations in a natural setting, fostering deeper human connections beyond structured learning environments.
Participants described the experience as transformative and deeply personal. Dr. Pooja Verma, Associate Professor and Assistant Director, Centre for Distance and Online Education, noted that the programme was more than just training—it was a journey of personal and professional growth. Similarly, Prof. Neeraj Gandotra, Associate Dean (Students’ Welfare), expressed that the immersion experience provided a renewed sense of purpose, emphasizing the impact of meaningful conversations and reflective practices.
