Technical University: Entrance exam to be held at 16 centers, admit card issued

Examinations for B.Tech, B.Pharmacy and other subjects will be held on May 9 and 10.
9704 candidates have applied for the entrance examination of the Technical University.
Hamirpur. Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, has decided to establish 16 examination centers for the entrance examination (HPCET-2026). All examination centers will be located in ten districts of Himachal Pradesh. This year, 9,704 candidates have applied online for the entrance examination. Of these, 5,575 have applied for B.Tech and 3,085 for B.Pharmacy. 380 candidates have applied for both B.Tech and B.Pharmacy. 303 candidates have applied for MBA and 262 for MCA. The technical university’s entrance examination will be held on May 9th and 10th. On May 9th, the entrance examination for B.Sc. HM&CT/BHMCT and M.Sc. Environmental Science will be held in the morning session from 9 to 11 am. On May 10th, the entrance examination for M.Sc. Physics will be held in the morning session from 9 to 11 am, and for B.Tech and B.Pharmacy from 9 to 12:15 pm. The entrance examination for MCA, MBA, and MBA Tourism will be held on May 10th in the evening session from 2 to 4 pm. A single examination center will be set up on the Technical University campus for the entrance examination for the proposed subjects on May 9th. Additionally, the proposed examination will be held at 16 examination centers in the morning session on May 10th. These centers include Government College Chamba in Chamba district, Government College Dharamshala and DAV College Kangra in Kangra district, Government College Una in Una district, Government College Hamirpur, Gautam College of Pharmacy and Technical University campus in Hamirpur, Shiva College of Pharmacy Chandpur Ghumarwin in Bilaspur district, Abhilashi B.Ed. College Nerchowk and Sirda College Naulakha Sundernagar in Mandi district, Vinayak Pharmacy College Gadsa in Kullu, Awasthi College Nalagarh and LR College Solan in Solan, Himalayan Engineering College Kala Amb in Sirmaur, Government College Chaura Maidan (Kotshera) and ITI Shimla in Shimla. Technical University Registrar and Controller of Examinations, Anupam Kumar, said that all preparations for the entrance examination are nearly complete.
