THDC India Limited (THDCIL) has announced an ex-gratia payment of ₹5 lakh to the next of kin of each deceased worker and ₹1 lakh to each injured worker following the tragic accident at the Tail Race Tunnel (TRT) of the Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP) on August 13.
Expressing deep grief over the loss of lives, the THDCIL management conveyed its condolences to the bereaved families and said it stood with those affected by the incident.
The company said it would extend all possible support and assistance to the affected families and injured workers during the difficult period.
THDCIL said the assistance reflected its commitment to supporting the families of the workers affected by the unfortunate incident.
