Hamirpur, August 26: A two-day workshop on ‘Mindfulness-Based Life Skills’ was organised in Hamirpur by Bharti Airtel Foundation in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha Himachal Pradesh on August 25 and 26, 2026.
The workshop was conducted under the Mindfulness-Based Life Skills curriculum and brought together 12 resource persons from six blocks of the district, principals from 24 participating schools, and Block Project Officers (BPOs) from all six blocks.
The participants will play an important role in the effective implementation of the programme for students of Classes VI to XII in the coming days. Bharti Airtel Foundation provided the required technical and academic support for the smooth and effective execution of the programme.
The workshop was inaugurated by Naveen Kumar, DDQC-cum-DPO, as the chief guest, while Kamal Kishore, DDSE (Elementary), attended as the special guest. Anil Kaushal, Principal, DIET, and Rajesh Gautam, DSS, were also present on the occasion.
From Bharti Airtel Foundation, Sandeep Gupta, Project Coordinator, and Sohan Lal, Assistant Manager, State Partnership, along with other team members, attended the workshop.
The programme aims to develop important life skills among students, including emotional awareness, critical thinking, empathy and resilience, thereby ensuring their holistic development.
The initiative is also designed to equip teachers with the necessary perspectives and pedagogical tools to make the classroom teaching-learning process more effective. By strengthening emotional awareness and life skills among students, the programme seeks to nurture emotionally resilient, confident and responsible citizens.
